1. Who we are

Coding Cowboys LLC is a Texas limited liability company that builds custom software. In this policy, "Coding Cowboys," "we," and "us" mean Coding Cowboys LLC.

  • Address: 608 E Hickory St, Ste 128, Denton, TX 76205
  • Email: info@coding-cowboys.com
  • Phone: (817) 567-8948
  • Website: https://coding-cowboys.com

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers our website, the "Send a telegram" contact form at coding-cowboys.com/send-telegram, and the phone calls and text messages that form sends. It does not cover software we build or operate for clients. Data in client projects is handled under that client's contract and data agreements, which control over this policy.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Website visits

Our hosting provider records standard request information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

3.2 The telegram contact form

When you send a telegram we receive the message you write, the name you give (optional), the email address or phone number you leave for us to reply to, your IP address, and your browser's user agent. If you tick the text-message box, we also record that consent, including when you gave it and from which IP address.

3.3 Bot protection

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

4. How we use information

We use the information above only to:

  • deliver your telegram to us, as a phone call or a text message to our own staff phone, depending on which you choose;
  • reply to your inquiry;
  • send you a confirmation text, but only if you opted in;
  • keep a record of your text-message consent; and
  • protect the site and our phone lines from spam and abuse, including rate limiting.

We do not sell personal information, rent it, or use it for targeted advertising.

5. Text messages (SMS)

Program description: When a visitor chooses "Send as a text," Coding Cowboys delivers their telegram to our own staff phone. Separately, a visitor may choose to receive a single confirmation text that their telegram was received.

Opt-in: Confirmation texts are sent only if you tick the optional text-message box on the form. The box is never pre-checked, and you can send a telegram without ticking it. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You receive one confirmation text for each telegram you send with the box ticked.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply.

Opt-out and help: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email info@coding-cowboys.com.

Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third party.

6. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the site and deliver telegrams. They process information only to provide their service to us.

ProviderWhat it does
Google Cloud / FirebaseWebsite hosting, the contact-form service, and service logs, in the United States
TwilioPlaces telegram phone calls and delivers text messages
Google reCAPTCHABot and abuse protection on the contact form

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access limited to people who need it, and secrets kept in a managed secret store rather than in code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention

We keep contact-form submissions only as long as we need them to respond to you and keep ordinary business records. Text-message consent records are kept as long as needed to show that consent was given. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 10).

9. Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your choices and Texas privacy rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@coding-cowboys.com. We will respond within 45 days. As a small business, Coding Cowboys may fall outside the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, but we honor these requests regardless, and we do not sell personal data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the most recent revision.

12. Governing law and contact

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. The exclusive venue for any dispute with a website visitor is the state and federal courts located in Denton County, Texas.
